Granite Cut

From a technical and economic point of view, the use of a superior quality steel grit provides:

  •  Stability of the block sawing;
  • Low consumption, per square meter, of steel grit and blades;
  • Higher cutting speed.

To cut the granite in the form of slabs, we need to extract the blocks from the quarries, in sizes compatible with the gangsaw, equipment where the blocks are cut through the sawing process. The cuts are made with steel grit, and with steel blades, properly spaced and aligned, which rub the grit on the surface of the blocks, causing the rock to wear and thus processing the granite slabs, which after polishing, will be used such as floors, coverings, sinks, etc.

TECHNICAL STANDARDS

A good quality steel shot is produced in compliance with worldwide technical standards. Faithful observance of these standards provides product repeatability, and also meets the customer’s expectations regarding product quality and performance. These standards were developed for steel shot to be used in shot blasting or shot peening.

For steel grit for granite cutting, it is usual for each manufacturer to have its own standard. SINTO BRASIL, through its GRANICORTE product, has international recognition for its quality.
