Impellers
Impeller is assembled inside the control box and fixed through a screw at the end of turbine shaft. Turning at the same turbine speed, it establishes an abrasive flow passing at the control box opening. In perfect conditions, each impeller segment must be ahead of its respective turbine blade. Such position is automatically set by a boss or a recess at the back. That advanced position obliges the abrasive flow to reach frontal sides of turbine blades, following box control opening. Daily utilization provokes wear at the grit openings and a decrease of the above mentioned advance. After a certain limit, abrasive will reach blade extremities and theis backs, with jet flow impairement and abnormal wear on the turbine internal parts.
