Blades
Main turbine part, with the purpose of grit throw against the blasted component. Each set can have from 4 to 12 parts, with the most usual having 8 parts. Turbine usage provokes blade wear and consequent turbine vibrations. Vibrations can also happen if one of the bades breaks. Useful blade life depends upon several conditions, like grit model and size, blade model, grit percentage within foundry sand and blast dust, amongst others.
Blades must be changed once strong wear is detected (with the emergence of holes or grooves), or when broken, or at the presence of turbine vibration. Substitution must include the complete set, therefore avoiding abnormal vibrations.
